In addition to our campuses, educational outreach programs remain a major part of our mission. Our original center in Orange County, as well as our newer Los Angeles campus, gives those seeking immersive, interactive science activities a way to jump into the learning fun. These future-forward initiatives inspire educators, their students, and all of us committed to learning for life. The foundation achieves this goal through four core initiatives: STEM proficiency, early childhood education, healthy living, and environmental stewardship. Don’t worry- your commitment is do-able for even busy teens, with a minimum requirement of 4 hours of service every 30 days (but you’ll find most of our teens do even more!).ĭo you love science, technology, engineering or math? It doesn’t matter if you’ve just started college or are heading for retirement… if you have just a few hours during the week or on the weekends to educate and inspire, then join our team! A formal teaching background is not required – we are looking for folks who are friendly, love to learn, and are passionate about science and giving back to their community. Volunteer Discovery Cube Los Angeles’s volunteers commit over 30,000 hours each year and support almost all of our special events and programs.
